Welome to Audiotheque

Welcome to the first blog of the Audiotheque website. After many months of hard work, we now have a version of the site that we can test and pilot. So many thanks to Nathan for spending so much time developing the site and taking on board my occasionally incoherent wishes.

Over the next few months we are hoping to promote Audiotheque to many new users, and to migrate some of the older Audiotheque blogs and groups on to a single site.

This site is dedicated to the sharing of short-form audio dramas, created by members of the site. There will be regular digests of what's taking place on the site, and open and supportive debate on our discussion boards. The aim is to get each other talking about short-form audio dramas.

We are still at an early stage, and we are learning our way around the site, so please feel free to make constructive comments about functionality and access.

Most important, start uploading your three minute drama pieces.

Best regards

Rob

how to get involved with radio dramas

Hi Rob,

just wondered how I could get involved with your radio drama idea. Im very interested in radio and have been creating my own edited material for radio during my last year as a Performance: Theatre student up in York. Radio is the career that I want to get into so now all I need is the contacts and experience. Any help would be brilliant. Thanks, Danni.

how to get involved

Hi Danni

The best way to start is to post a short piece to Audiotheque and ask for some comments from members. We're looking for pieces about three minutes, that are produced under the Creative Commons Licence - i.e. that can be distributed on the web because everything is originated by the producer.

We've not got a lot to listen to yet, but at some point we will add some links to the forums so we can point to already existing ideas. If you've got any links it would be great to follow them.

Rob
