This came out of the recent SPARKS new writing workshop, run by the BBC Radio Drama department. Eight writers new to radio were teamed up with producers and had an hour to make each piece.

Great use of sound in this one, the toes being cut made me shudder! But I would have liked to have known how the gagged person met this monsterous torturer, aside from claiming there was no evil.

Thanks, Jeremy ... I think ... That is kind of the intention of the piece. It was based on a short story I wrote last year which was designed to horrify the reader so much that they couldn't stand to read on.
