It's important to note that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to Audiotheque. This means you are perfectly free to take what you have written and re-publish it somewhere else.
By contributing to Audiotheque you grant us and our partners the right to publish using a Creative Commons License http://creativecommons.org/. Anything you create on Audiotheque is done under the condition that you grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive license to distribute and edit the material in any way that we want, and in any media. As we may wish to distribute the material in various formats over time, we need to be sure that we have the right to publish everything that is on Audiotheque.
If you do not wish to grant such rights to Audiotheque or any of the partners who support Audiotheque, it is suggested that you do not submit your contribution to the site.
You own the copyright in your postings, articles and pictures, but you also agree to grant Audiotheque and its partners a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to any such work worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content, consistent with privacy restrictions set forth in the Audiotheque privacy policy.
By submitting your contribution to this site, you also warrant that such contribution is:
• Your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to the Audiotheque for all the purposes above
• Is not defamatory
• Does not infringe any law
• You also agree to indemnify Audiotheque and its partners against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by the Audiotheque and its partners as a result of your breach of the above warranty.
• You agree to waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the Audiotheque site and the other purposes specified above.
We use our best endeavors to credit contributions to the site wherever possible.
Where appropriate we recommend that you seek permission to share the stories of the people your contributions are based on.
About the Law
If anything you post is illegal (defamatory, for example), condones illegal activities (such as recommending drug taking) or infringes the copyright of a third party (content that you haven't written), then it has to be removed.
• You may not post any defamatory or illegal material of any nature anywhere on the site. This includes text, graphics, video or audio.
• You agree to only post materials to which you have the copyright or other permission to distribute electronically. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.
About your Privacy
• Our registration process requires you to supply your email details, which Audiotheque and its partners/service providers will only use to validate your access to Audiotheque and to contact you about your contribution.
Audiotheque: Moderation
The Moderators do not necessarily read all of the content on Audiotheque. Instead we rely on you to alert us to any content that breaks the Terms of Use via the complaints system. The Moderators read the complaints and will act accordingly. It is important that Audiotheque doesn't publish material that is unlawful, obscene, racist, homophobic or contains other types of material that break the House Rules or Terms of Use.
