Wowsers!

Hello, what a cool forum. Nice easy registration too - that's what I like. I created a blog but I don't think anyone will read it. Anyway Hello everyone I am Federico and I love radio drama - probably more than TV and even film! because of the kind of job I do I can listen to it all the time. I do like music and I have loads of albums on my ipod, but most of it is filled up with plays.

I recently found this website called wireless theatre and they are brilliant. As far as I can tell there's no catch, it's honestly just really good quality audio drama that you download for free. I didn't have to register, pay, log-in or anything, literally just clicked on the one I fancied and downloaded it. I'm half way the play I downloaded at the moment - I can't remember the title now, but it's got the actress who played Basil's wife from Fawlty Towers in it and it's really funny. Quite cheeky, but that's quite up my alley so that's fine. I am going to email them and ask what the deal is and why it's all free (I'm not complaining!)

Anyway, check it out:

Can anyone else recommend any really good websites or radio stations which do radio drama?

Thanks,
Fed

Re Wowsers

Hi Federico - welcome to the Audiotheque ! I'll definitely check out the wireless theatre company. What do you think of the material on Audiotheque ? Our main ambition is to encourage people to make audio plays, and to post them up so others can listen. And we are very keen to get people commenting adn recommending what they like to listen to.

Happy listening

Hello Jeremy!

I came across this site by accident and was delighted to find it!

Some of the material your members have posted up is of such a high standard! I've been working on a new four part sci-fi series with an independant audio drama company called Vexation Audio. We've just launched our first episode and I'm midway through the crunching and tweaking of episode 2. I'd love for your members/listeners to hear it and I wondered what was the best way to do this? Should I start a new thread? Or reply to ones that're already rolling?

Anyway, great site mate. If you're interested you can have a listen to episode 1 over at

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!
