Various of us from BBC Radio Drama had a great day this week recording short audio pieces from scripts which had been developed by The Factory - one of the most exciting theatre groups in London (see http://www.thefactorytheatre.co.uk/).
For the last year The Factory have been touring an extraordinary production of Hamlet round a range of London venues. The audience not only help decide who is going to play the lead role, but also play a vital part by bringing objects which the actors use as props. Now that the Hamlet production is almost over the team is concentrating on new work and has commissioned a number of short plays - all of which have been written to be performed by any actors in any venue. We are planning to have four short recordings up on the audiotheque site before too long.
